So, I have no idea how my first blog ended up being about fruit, but damn, I love the stuff. Bananas, strawberries, tomatoes (yes, it is a fruit) blueberries, and cherries are among my favorites. Yes, it is somewhat expensive to buy fruit, but compare it to the price of a bag of chips or cookies and it doesn't seem that bad. I have eaten bananas for a while now, but recently I have been enjoying two or three a day (2 for snacks and 1 in a smoothie). Speaking of smoothies, i would like to thank my brother for introducing me to the greatness of the home smoothie. They are by far better than the one's you buy at a shop. I have been making smoothies for a while and until recently I would add sugar or honey for the sweetness. Well no longer. I am going to share with you how I make my dinner every night.
First I add some ice to the blender. Next I add a low-fat cherry yogurt from Publix, which is the best grocery store and I refuse to shop anywhere else. Then I add a banana, preferably ripe. Now comes the strawberries which I use half of a container. I finish it off with a splash of milk so that it will blend. I liquefy it and enjoy.
It taste so good that I could drink more than one. Watch out though, because it is filling...and addicting.
